Day 15

Updated: Jul 24, 2020

The third benefit of reading the Bible that we want to discuss is knowing what God thinks and feels about you. This is a specific portion of the first benefit that we mentioned, knowing God, but it is worth mentioning in a little detail. A part of knowing God is knowing what He thinks and feels about you. The Bible is full of verses where God shares how He feels about us.

The one that I want to highlight is John 15:9 where Jesus says, “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.” This is a very powerful statement that shows how God feels about us. With the same exact love that the Father loves Jesus, Jesus loves you and I. That is amazing! In the same way God loves God, He loves you and I! As you read the Bible, you will pick out more and more of these verses that show you what He thinks and feels about you. This is extremely important because it will cause you to grow in confidence in relating to God. Also, it will cause you to not rely on what others say about you or how they treat you to determine your worth and value.
